Job Description: Accountant (EdTech Sales)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for our EdTech sales business. The candidate will be responsible for handling financial records, sales reconciliation, compliance, and supporting management with accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries (sales, receipts, payments, expenses).

• Handle sales accounting, revenue tracking, and admission fee reconciliation.

• Manage GST compliance – filing returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), reconciliations.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Handle bank reconciliation statements (BRS).

• Track invoices, collections, outstanding payments, and follow-ups with the sales team.

• Maintain TDS records and ensure timely deductions and filings.

• Support payroll processing and employee reimbursement accounting.

• Coordinate with auditors during internal/external audits.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an Accountant (EdTech or Sales industry preferred).

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic compliance.

• Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and accounting software.

• Good understanding of sales-driven business accounting.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to coordinate with sales, HR, and management teams.

Preferred:

• Experience in EdTech, Education, or Sales-oriented companies.

• Knowledge of admission billing and fee structures.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Salary:

• As per industry standards (based on experience and skill set).
