An Accounts Executive is responsible for day-to-day accounting, financial records, GST/TDS compliance, banking transactions, invoicing, and coordination with vendors/customers and the CA/auditor.
Key Responsibilities 1. Day-to-Day Accounting Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment, journal and contra entries. Maintain ledgers and accounting records. Reconcile customer and vendor accounts. Pass debit notes and credit notes.
2. Tally / Accounting Software Work on Tally Prime for voucher posting and ledger maintenance. Maintain proper voucher narration and supporting documents. Check and correct accounting entries. Prepare Day Book, Ledger, Trial Balance and other reports.
3. GST Prepare/check GST-related data for GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B. Reconcile purchase invoices with GST records. Verify input tax credit (ITC). Handle e-Invoice/e-Way Bill-related accounting requirements.
4. TDS Calculate and record TDS deductions. Maintain TDS payable records. Coordinate for TDS returns and certificates. Verify TDS applicability on vendor payments.
5. Banking Record bank transactions. Perform Bank Reconciliation (BRS). Track receipts, payments and bank charges. Maintain proper documentation for bank transactions.
6. Accounts Receivable & Payable Prepare customer/vendor ledgers. Follow up for outstanding payments. Verify vendor bills before payment. Prepare ageing and outstanding reports.
7. Invoicing & Billing Prepare sales/service invoices. Verify invoice details, GST, amounts and supporting documents. Maintain invoice records and payment status
