Job Title: Accountant
Job Summary:
An Accountant is responsible for preparing, examining, and maintaining financial records. They ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and provide financial reports to support business operations and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records.
Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank accounts.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
Calculate and prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments.
Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
Proven experience in accounting or finance.
