Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role involves maintaining accurate financial transactions, monitoring expenses, and assisting in budgeting and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals.
Prepare and analyze financial statements such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare invoices and process payments.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax filing.
Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com or equivalent).
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role (preferred).
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
