Technical Lead, Network Transformation Engineering Colt provides network, voice and data centre services to thousands of businesses around the world, allowing them to focus on delivering their business goals instead of the underlying infrastructure. Why we need this role Performs key network engineering activities to contribute to the design and build of Colt’s core network. What you will do The Network Engineer performs key network engineering activities to contribute to the design, development and implementation of Colt's network. They will also conduct troubleshooting and testing on the network to ensure network reliability and to resolve faults. What we're looking for Typical tasks and responsibilities will include: • Designing, planning and implementing network solutions that ensure the availability and accessibility of Colt’s network and services. • Supporting Network Engineering Specialists and Managers in creating and executing the engineering roadmap and strategies. • Collaborating with and maintaining relationships with key vendors. • Contributing to network capacity planning to ensure network reliability. • Designing technically and commercially viable bespoke solutions and providing pre-sales and post-sales support. • Testing and validating features and technologies may be required. • Creating business cases to augment network capacity. • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation of changes to the network and configurations. • Proactively taking opportunities to build capability, including learning to use Network Virtualisation technologies and Automation tools to provide scalability. • Contributing recommendations to Engineering team to drive continuous improvement.
