Network and Security Management:
Ensure secure network protocols and configurations for CCTV systems and all IT equipment.
Monitor network traffic to ensure optimal performance and security of the CCTV surveillance system.
Maintain and implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
System Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor all CCTV systems for potential malfunctions or technical issues and take corrective action promptly.
Generate regular reports on system performance, uptime, and maintenance schedules.
Report issues to the relevant team members or external vendors when necessary.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide first-level support for all IT-related issues within the control room, escalating more complex issues to senior IT staff or external service providers.
Quickly identify and resolve network, server, or camera-related issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
Software & Firmware Updates:
Regularly update CCTV software and firmware to ensure compatibility with existing hardware and security features.
Install and configure any necessary surveillance management software and user interfaces.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of system configurations, upgrades, and repairs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards for CCTV surveillance.
Document and report any incidents or technical issues affecting system performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in IT administration or network administration, preferably in a security-focused environment.
Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, including cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and video management software.
Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN) and hardware troubleshooting.
Knowledge of IT security best practices, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner.
Good problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus in a high-stakes, security-focused environment.
