Job Responsibilities In this role, you will apply advanced technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate to high complexity, focusing on optimizing data systems and applications running at scale while ensuring comprehensive end-to-end monitoring. Resolving complex technical nuances independently and determining appropriate escalation paths when necessary. You will execute both conventional and innovative approaches to architect solutions and decompose technical challenges effectively. You will leverage your extensive experience in incident response, change management, and problem management to effectively support production environments and collaborate with Operations and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams. Designing and implementing data promoted solutions informed by operational metrics and critical performance indicators. You will engage cross-functional team members using active listening strategies and targeted questioning techniques to identify optimal solutions and influence strategic action plans. Demonstrating personal and professional resilience while navigating challenging situations with composure, tact, and diplomacy. You will maintain a strong client, customer, and stakeholder-focused approach when addressing issues and problems managed by your team. Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate monitoring and capacity analysis and documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements. Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches to identify recurring capacity risks and improve remediation workflows, ensuring changes are validated and aligned to resiliency and security expectations. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering disciplines with 3+ years of applied professional experience is required. Deep technical expertise in Windows Server operating systems from Windows Server 2016 through 2025 is mandatory, along with proven experience in Windows Server builds, performance tuning, and debugging using Microsoft Windows performance tools. Advanced knowledge of Windows Clustering, SQL Server Always On availability groups, Hyper-V virtualization, web services, load balancing technologies, Sysinternals utilities, Windows patching strategies, and risk management frameworks is required. You must possess strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines, including hardware architecture, networking protocols, database management, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration strategies, automation frameworks, scaling methodologies, resilience engineering, and performance assessment techniques. Demonstrated proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies is essential. Experience working with multiple cloud technologies. Demonstrate deep proficiency in reliability engineering, scalability design, performance optimization, security best practices, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction strategies, and other site reliability engineering principles. Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity. Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Advanced Windows operating system knowledge with exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic skills is highly valued. Strategic analytical thinking with the ability to architect long-term technical solutions is preferred.
