Network Engineer

Network Engineer What success looks like in this role: Monitor and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure within the guidelines of Incident Management (Return-to-Service), Problem Management (Reason for Outage) and Change management. Perform fault isolation and resolution in a methodical and thorough manner in accordance with SLA. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configuration. Continuously explore the opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and share the best practices across all the teams. Ability to administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches, WLAN controllers. Remotely support customers and/or onsite technicians test and turn-ups of WAN and LAN equipment. Meet and exceed customer SLA or OLA metrics. Work with third party vendors to remediate and resolve customer issues. You will be successful in this role if you have: Minimum 2 years of experience in networking technologies. ITIL foundation knowledge and certification. Hand on experience in working with the following: Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Nexus switches, WLCs & Meraki devices HP, Aruba switches, routers & WLCs Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, ACI SD WAN – Silver peak, Velo cloud etc. Knowledge on Public Clouds like Azure, AWS, Google Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness. Hand on experience with routers, switches, wireless controllers. (Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki) Associate level certification in one or more fields. (Cisco- CCNA, Aruba – ACSA etc..) Proficient with standard troubleshooting practices and methodologies. Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions. Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
