🐜 Pest Control Technician – Job Role & Responsibilities

🔹 Primary Role

A Pest Control Technician is responsible for inspecting, treating, and preventing pest infestations at residential, commercial, and industrial sites while ensuring safety, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

1. Site Inspection & Assessment

• Inspect customer premises to identify pest types (termites, cockroaches, rodents, ants, mosquitoes, bed bugs, etc.)

• Assess level of infestation and determine appropriate treatment methods

• Identify entry points and breeding areas

2. Pest Treatment & Control

• Carry out pest control treatments using approved chemicals, gels, baits, traps, and equipment

• Perform services like:

  • General pest control

  • Termite pre & post construction treatment

  • Rodent control

  • Bed bug & mosquito control

• Follow company SOPs and government safety guidelines

3. Chemical Handling & Safety

• Mix and apply pesticides as per prescribed dosage

• Use PPE (mask, gloves, uniform, safety shoes)

• Ensure safe storage and transportation of chemicals

• Follow health, safety, and environmental norms

4. Customer Interaction

• Explain treatment process and precautions to customers

• Provide post-treatment instructions and preventive advice

• Address customer queries politely and professionally

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Fill service reports, job cards, and treatment checklists

• Take before/after photos if required

• Update service status via mobile app or manual records

6. Equipment Maintenance

• Maintain sprayers, fogging machines, drills, and tools

• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment

7. Compliance & Quality Control

• Ensure treatments comply with local laws and company standards

• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness at service sites

• Support audits and inspections when required

🔹 Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th pass (preferred)

• Basic knowledge of pests and chemicals (training provided)

• Ability to read labels and follow instructions

• Good communication skills (local language)

• Willingness to work in field conditions

🔹 Experience

• Fresher or 1–3 years experience in pest control or field service

• On-the-job training provided for freshers

🔹 Working Conditions

• Field-based job with daily travel

• May involve climbing, lifting equipment, and working in confined spaces

• Weekend or emergency services as required

• It is a Full Time Field Sales job for candidates with 6 months - 3 years of experience.
