Aton Network — Job Description: Business Development Manager
Company: Aton Network Location: Bengaluru (with travel across India) Type: Full-time Reports to: Founder / CEO Experience: 3–5 years in cybersecurity sales, alliances, or business development
About Aton Network
Aton Network is an early-stage startup building a next-generation exposure management aggregator platform. The platform lets enterprises browse security products by use case, map their existing tool stack against regulatory frameworks and guidelines, visualise integration gaps in a dynamic SOC dashboard, and execute agentic AI-driven remediation workflows with human-in-the-loop approval. Our vision is to become the single pane through which CISOs, CIOs, CFOs, and procurement teams understand, govern, and optimise their entire security estate.
Role Overview
As Aton Network's Business Development Manager, you will own the commercial engine of the company from day one. You will build relationships with cybersecurity OEMs whose products and APIs power our platform, recruit channel and technology partners, drive early customer acquisition among CISOs and security leaders, and orchestrate our go-to-market launch events across major Indian cities. This is a founding-team role: you will shape strategy, not just execute it.
Key Responsibilities
Partner & OEM Alliances
Identify, engage, and sign partnership/API agreements with the top 25–50 cybersecurity OEMs (VM, EDR, SIEM, SASE, DLP, firewall, SAST/DAST vendors)
Negotiate technology alliance, referral, and co-marketing agreements
Build and manage a channel partner ecosystem (VARs, distributors, MSSPs, GSIs)
Customer Acquisition
Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise prospects; own the sales cycle from prospecting to closure for early design-partner and paying customers
Engage CISO, CIO, CTO, CFO, and procurement personas with tailored value narratives (risk visibility, compliance mapping, spend rationalisation, remediation automation)
Convert pilot/UAT simulation engagements into production subscriptions
Go-to-Market & Events
Plan and execute simultaneous launch events across 4–5 cities with partners and CISOs
Organise executive roundtable conferences to gather feedback and build community
Support quarterly research report distribution as a demand-generation asset
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Track the exposure management and CTEM market, competitor moves, and regulatory developments (RBI, SEBI, CERT-In, DPDP, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
Feed customer and partner insights back into product roadmap and pricing
Contribute to investor materials with pipeline metrics, market sizing, and partnership traction
Required Qualifications
3 - 5 years in business development, sales, or alliances within cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise IT
Existing network among Indian CISOs, security leaders, and/or cybersecurity OEM channel teams
Demonstrated track record of closing enterprise deals or signing technology partnerships
Strong understanding of the security tooling landscape (VM, SIEM, EDR, SASE, DLP, etc.) and compliance frameworks relevant to Indian enterprises
Excellent communication and executive-presence skills; comfortable presenting to C-suite audiences
Willingness to travel extensively across India
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at an early-stage startup or launching a new product category
Familiarity with exposure management / CTEM, attack surface management, or GRC platforms
Experience running field marketing events, roundtables, or CISO communities
Understanding of API-based integrations and platform/marketplace business models
What We Offer
Founding-team ownership of the commercial function with meaningful equity potential
Direct influence on product, pricing, and go-to-market strategy
Opportunity to build a category-defining platform in a fast-growing market
To apply, send your resume and a short note on a partnership or enterprise deal you are most proud of.
