Area Sales Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and target-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations within a designated geographical area. The ASM will be responsible for managing a team of sales executives, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute area-level sales strategies in alignment with company goals.

• Manage, motivate, and train a team of sales representatives.

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

• Identify and appoint new distributors, dealers, or channel partners.

• Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.

• Ensure proper product placement, visibility, and promotional activities.

• Conduct regular market visits and fieldwork.

• Resolve customer and partner queries in a timely and professional manner.

• Prepare and submit reports on sales performance and market conditions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in field sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.

• Proven track record in sales target achievement and territory development.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.

• Proficient in MS Office and sales reporting tools.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in [industry – e.g., FMCG, Consumer Durables, Pharma, Telecom, Logistics, etc.].

• Exposure to distributor/channel partner management.

• Local market knowledge and regional language fluency.
