✔ CUTTING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fabric cutting as per size charts and patterns

• Layer cutting for bulk production

• Marker planning & fabric saving techniques

• Understanding of grainline, bias & fabric fall

• Calculating fabric consumption

• Cutting for satin, silk, rayon, chiffon & delicate fabrics

• Ensuring accurate cutting without measurement errors

• Guiding helpers in fabric laying

✔ STITCHING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating Single Needle, Overlock, Flatlock, Kansai, Pico machines

• Handling complex stitching operations

• Fixing stitching faults & rework issues

• Teaching tailors how to improve stitching quality

• Maintaining speed + accuracy balance

• Coordinating with production to meet daily targets

✔ SAMPLE MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creating first samples independently

• Reading designer notes / measurements & converting into actual sample

• Improving garment fitting

• Making corrections in pattern or stitching method

• Preparing production-ready sample for listing/photoshoot

• Testing trims, fusing & accessory placement

✔ PATTERN & MEASUREMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Basic pattern drafting & adjustments

• Understanding of size grading

• Making small pattern corrections as required

• Ability to convert measurements into patterns

• Checking garment measurements before finishing

✔ QUALITY CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Checking stitching quality (inside/outside)

• Identifying fabric defects

• Approving finished garments before packing

• Ensuring no open seams, loose threads, measurement issues

• Maintaining finishing standards for luxury satin/silk look

• Guiding team to achieve consistent quality

✔ PRODUCTION SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning daily production targets

• Assigning work to tailors based on skill

• Monitoring production flow from cutting to stitching to finishing

• Helping team complete urgent orders

• Maintaining discipline & smooth workflow

• Keeping record of daily output

✔ MACHINE & WORKSHOP RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining machines in good working condition

• Reporting repair or service needs

• Ensuring correct needle, thread & tension settings

• Keeping cutting table & stitching area organized

✔ TEAM MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Training new tailors

• Supervising helpers & assistant tailors

• Explaining designs and technical details to workers

• Handling production pressure & deadlines

• Coordinating with owner/manager for order planning

✔ OTHER EXPERT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Giving suggestions to improve garment design & fit

• Advising on fabric selection for new products

• Reducing wastage and increasing efficiency

• Supporting model shoot samples & urgent orders

• Maintaining sample library (if required)

• Assisting in new product creation & development
