Tailor – Studio Half Meter

We are looking for an experienced Tailor to join our team at Studio Half Meter. The role involves stitching and finishing women’s garments with a strong focus on fit, quality and clean construction.

Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹22,000 in hand
Experience: 2–6+ years

Key Responsibilities

• Stitch women’s garments such as tops, shirts, dresses, trousers, skirts, blouses, kurtas, jackets and co-ord sets.

• Handle made-to-measure garments, alterations, samples and small-batch production.

• Work according to patterns, measurements and instructions provided by the Cutting Master/Designer.

• Perform garment alterations including waist, side seams, sleeves, length, shoulder and fit corrections.

• Ensure neat stitching, accurate seam allowances and high-quality finishing.

• Operate industrial sewing machines efficiently.

• Assist during fittings and make required garment corrections.

• Handle different woven fabrics with appropriate stitching techniques.

• Complete assigned garments within agreed timelines.

• Maintain machines, tools and a clean working area.

Job Requirements

• 2–6+ years of professional tailoring experience.

• Strong experience in women’s garment stitching.

• Good understanding of garment construction and finishing.

• Ability to understand measurements, patterns and garment instructions.

• Experience with industrial single-needle sewing machines.

• Overlock machine experience is an advantage.

• Experience in alterations and made-to-measure garments preferred.

• Attention to detail and consistent stitching quality are essential.

Qualification: No specific formal education required. Practical tailoring skills and experience will be given priority.

• It is a Both Fashion Designer job for candidates with 2 - 6+ years Experience.
