Research: Study trends in fashion, fabrics, colors, and shapes
Design: Create sketches and designs using CAD programs
Develop: Create prototypes and patterns for mass production
Select: Choose fabrics, colors, trims, and embellishments
Produce: Oversee the production of designs, including fittings and quality checks
Market: Present designs to buyers, investors, and retailers
Collaborate: Work with other designers, buyers, and forecasters
Manage: Manage marketing, finances, and other business activities
