Roles & Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
Maintain motors, pumps, blowers, panels, and wiring systems.
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Pump & Motor Monitoring
Check operation of sewage pumps, transfer pumps, dosing pumps, and aeration blowers.
Monitor overheating, unusual noise, and vibration.
Control Panel Operation
Inspect and maintain MCC (Motor Control Center), PLC panels, starters, relays, and breakers.
Troubleshooting
Identify faults in electrical circuits, motors, control panels, sensors, and cables.
Restore equipment quickly during breakdowns.
Generator & Power Backup
Monitor DG set (diesel generator) and ensure backup power is available during outages.
Preventive Maintenance
Follow maintenance schedules for tightening connections, cleaning panels, insulation testing, and lubrication coordination.
Safety Compliance
Follow electrical safety procedures.
Use PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and ensure earthing systems are proper.
Instrument Support
Check sensors, float switches, level indicators, pressure gauges, and automation devices.
Record Keeping
Maintain daily logbooks for maintenance work, breakdown reports, and power consumption records.
Coordination with Operations Team
Work with STP operators and supervisors to ensure continuous plant operation and quick issue resolution.
