Travel Consultant

Job Summary:

The Travel Consultant will be responsible for handling client travel requirements efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Amadeus GDS, possess strong knowledge of visa processes, and be skilled in creating travel itineraries, managing bookings, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Travel Planning & Booking

• Handle domestic and international flight, hotel, and holiday package bookings through Amadeus GDS.

• Create customized itineraries based on client preferences, budget, and travel requirements.

• Provide accurate fare quotes, issue tickets, and process reissuances, refunds, and cancellations.

• Stay updated with airline schedules, fare rules, and promotional offers.

Visa & Documentation

• Advise clients on visa requirements, documentation, and application procedures for various countries.

• Coordinate with embassies, consulates, and visa processing centers when required.

• Assist in preparing and verifying travel documents, including insurance, hotel vouchers, and invitation letters.

Customer Service & Support

• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client queries promptly and professionally.

• Resolve issues related to flight disruptions, schedule changes, and travel modifications.

• Maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and suppliers to ensure smooth travel arrangements.

• Prepare daily and weekly reports on bookings, revenue, and client feedback.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or Ticketing Executive.

• Proficiency in Amadeus GDS (knowledge of Galileo or Sabre will be an added advantage).

• Strong knowledge of visa requirements and documentation for major destinations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

• Customer-oriented approach with problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of international destinations, airlines, and travel trends is preferred.
