Business Development Manager (BDM)
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana
Industry: Pharmaceutical / Pharma Machinery & Equipment
Department: Business Development / Sales
Role Purpose
To develop new business opportunities, generate qualified leads, build relationships with pharmaceutical companies, and drive sales growth in the Hyderabad and Telangana market.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.
Visit pharma companies, manufacturing plants, and prospective clients regularly.
Generate leads through market visits, references, networking, and cold calling.
Understand client requirements and coordinate with the technical/quotation team.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and commercial discussions.
Maintain regular follow-ups with clients until order closure.
Maintain accurate CRM/lead databases and submit daily activity reports.
Coordinate with factory, back office, and management for technical and commercial requirements.
Achieve assigned monthly/quarterly sales and business development targets.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key pharma clients.
Required Skills & Qualification
Graduate / Diploma in Pharmacy, Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred.
Relevant experience in pharma sales / pharma machinery / industrial B2B sales preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and client-handling skills.
Good knowledge of the Hyderabad pharmaceutical market will be an advantage.
Willingness to travel extensively for client visits.
Mandatory Requirements
Valid two-wheeler driving licence – Mandatory.
Own two-wheeler/bike – Mandatory.
Willingness to travel for field visits and client meetings.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Email, and basic CRM/lead management.
