The Counter Sales Executive is responsible for attending walk-in customers, handling sales transactions, promoting products, maintaining display standards, and ensuring excellent customer service while following company SOPs and discipline.
Greet customers politely and understand their requirements.
Explain product details including cakes, pastries, chocolates, and bakery items.
Suggest and upsell products to increase average bill value.
Handle customer queries, feedback, and basic complaints courteously.
Generate bills using POS/ERP system accurately.
Handle cash, UPI, card payments, and ensure correct change.
Maintain daily cash sales report and hand over cash to authorized person.
Avoid billing errors and follow billing SOP strictly.
Take fresh cake and advance orders correctly with full details (name, contact number, delivery date & time).
Coordinate with production team for order execution.
Ensure correct handover of cakes to customers.
Maintain clean and attractive product display counters.
Ensure proper storage of products as per food safety standards.
Follow personal hygiene, uniform, grooming, and cleanliness norms.
Monitor stock levels of display items.
Inform Store Manager about low stock or fast-moving items.
Avoid wastage and report damaged or expired products immediately.
Follow company rules, HR policies, and SOPs.
Do not use personal mobile phones during working hours.
Maintain punctuality and discipline.
Follow safety and hygiene guidelines at all times.
Opening and closing of counter as per schedule.
Counter cleaning before and after shift.
Daily sales and billing reconciliation.
Updating order registers and reports.
Good communication skills (English / Hindi / Bengali preferred).
Basic computer knowledge and POS handling.
Customer-friendly attitude.
Ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
Minimum qualification: 10+2 or equivalent.
Experience: Freshers or 1–2 years of retail sales experience preferred.
Shift-based duty as per store schedule.
Weekly off as per company policy.
Sales targets achievement.
Customer feedback.
Discipline, attendance, and SOP compliance.
