Job Title: South Indian Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate South Indian Chef with hands-on experience in preparing authentic South Indian cuisine. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining taste consistency, quality, and hygiene while ensuring efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, chutneys, and regional specialties

• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning

• Manage mise en place and ensure readiness for service

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchase team for raw materials

• Minimize wastage and ensure cost control in food production

• Supervise kitchen helpers/assistants and ensure smooth workflow

• Ensure timely preparation during peak hours

• Follow standard recipes and company SOPs

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–6 years of experience as a South Indian Chef in restaurants or hotels

• Strong knowledge of traditional South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques

• Ability to handle bulk cooking and high-volume orders

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• Team player with good time management skills

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Candidates with experience in restaurants, QSRs, or catering kitchens preferred

• Experience in handling breakfast service (dosa/idli section) is an added advantage
