A Pastry Chef, also known as a Pâtissier, is responsible for preparing a wide variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods in restaurants, hotels, or bakeries. Their work requires precision, creativity, and strong knowledge of baking techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of desserts including cakes, cookies, tarts, mousses, and breads.

• Design and decorate pastries with artistic presentation.

• Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menu items.

• Ensure quality, taste, and presentation of all baked goods.

• Monitor inventory and order ingredients as needed.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section.

• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff or pastry assistants.
