We are seeking a passionate and skilled Healthy Food Chef to design, prepare, and execute nutritious, flavor-forward menus. The ideal candidate will combine culinary expertise with a deep understanding of nutrition, dietary restrictions, and clean-eating principles to create meals that are both wholesome and delicious.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Development: Design innovative, seasonally inspired menus focusing on whole foods, lean proteins, vibrant vegetables, and healthy grains.
Dietary Customization: Adapt recipes to accommodate various dietary needs and preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, keto, paleo, and low-sodium diets.
Nutritional Integrity: Source high-quality, organic, and locally produced ingredients, ensuring optimal nutritional value and freshness.
Kitchen Operations: Oversee all meal preparation, cooking, and plating, maintaining strict portion control and presentation standards.
Food Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to rigorous health department sanitation standards, food safety regulations, and allergen management practices.
Inventory & Management: Manage kitchen inventory, minimize food waste, and track food costs effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or Private Chef, with a strong portfolio showcasing healthy, clean-cooking techniques.
Nutritional Knowledge: Solid understanding of macronutrients, dietary restrictions, and how to maximize flavor without relying on heavy fats, sugars, or processed ingredients.
Creativity: Ability to transform traditional comfort foods into nutrient-dense, visually appealing alternatives.
Certifications: Degree in Culinary Arts or Nutrition (preferred) and a valid food handler’s/manager's certification.
