The CDP Specialist/Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s Customer Data Platform. This role ensures high-quality customer data collection, unification, activation, and governance across marketing, product, analytics, and technology ecosystems. The ideal candidate combines technical data expertise with strong business understanding to drive personalized, data-driven customer experiences.
Configure and maintain the Customer Data Platform, including data schemas, identity resolution rules, and event tracking frameworks.
Partner with engineering teams to ensure accurate and scalable data pipelines.
Integrate CDP with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and advertising platforms.
Define and enforce data standards, taxonomies, and governance policies.
Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.
Monitor data quality, completeness, and performance.
Develop and optimize identity resolution and segmentation capabilities.
Maintain a unified customer profile across channels.
Build and manage audience segments for marketing and product teams.
Enable real-time personalization across channels (email, web, mobile, ads).
Support execution of lifecycle campaigns using CDP data.
Provide insights into customer behavior, journeys, and lifetime value.
Build dashboards or reports that leverage unified customer data.
Collaborate with data science teams to support modeling and experimentation.
Work closely with marketing, product, engineering, analytics, and privacy/legal teams.
Act as the internal SME for the CDP and customer data best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing Technology, or related field.
3–7 years of experience in CDP, MarTech, or data engineering roles.
Hands-on experience with CDP platforms (e.g., Segment, Salesforce CDP, Tealium, mParticle, Adobe RTCDP).
Strong understanding of event tracking, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, and data architecture.
Experience with SQL and dashboard tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Understanding of privacy regulations and data governance best practices.
Experience in customer lifecycle marketing or personalization.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation tools.
