Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a café, restaurant or hotel.
Strong knowledge of Continental cuisine.
Good understanding of ingredients, cooking techniques and food presentation.
Ability to work independently and manage kitchen responsibilities.
Knowledge of food costing and portion control.
Passion for cooking, creativity and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present a variety of Continental dishes.
Specialise in pasta, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, appetisers, soups and other café-style food.
Have good knowledge of white sauce, red sauce, pesto and other continental preparations.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation.
Handle kitchen operations and manage food preparation efficiently.
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
Manage inventory, food storage and minimise food wastage.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain recipe consistency.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Assist in developing new recipes and improving the café menu.
