Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Commis 2 to support the kitchen team in daily food preparation and cooking operations. The candidate will work under the guidance of senior chefs and be responsible for maintaining proper mise en place, assisting with cooking, and following food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.

• Prepare vegetables, meat, poultry and other ingredients as per kitchen requirements.

• Handle basic cooking techniques such as boiling, frying, sautéing and grilling.

• Prepare basic curries, gravies, sauces and other kitchen preparations.

• Complete mise en place before service.

• Follow recipes, portion sizes and preparation methods accurately.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the assigned workstation.

• Properly operate and handle basic kitchen equipment.

• Support the team during busy service hours and ensure timely food preparation.

• Store ingredients correctly and follow proper food handling procedures.

• Minimize food wastage through proper preparation and storage.

• Assist in maintaining kitchen inventory and inform the senior chef about shortages.

• Follow instructions from CDP, DCDP and Sous Chef.

• Maintain food quality and presentation according to company standards.

Eligibility

• 1–2 year's experience in a professional kitchen.

• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• It is a Full Time Cook / Chef job for candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience.
