We are looking for a skilled Commis 1 – Chinese & Continental to assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Food Preparation
Prepare and cook Chinese and Continental dishes as per standard recipes.
Ensure ingredients are prepped and ready before service.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size.
2. Kitchen Operations
Assist the Sous Chef / Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Ensure smooth food production during service hours.
Follow kitchen SOPs and recipe guidelines.
3. Quality Control
Ensure food quality and presentation meet restaurant standards.
Monitor freshness of ingredients and proper storage.
4. Hygiene & Safety
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per FSSAI standards.
Follow proper food handling and safety practices.
Ensure workstation remains organized and sanitized.
5. Inventory & Stock
Assist in stock rotation (FIFO method).
Inform the chef about ingredient shortages or wastage.
6. Team Support
Coordinate with kitchen team members to ensure timely service.
Guide junior kitchen staff when required.
