Chef

We are opening a new cafe and are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to lead kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should have formal culinary training, hands-on cafe or restaurant experience, and the ability to maintain food quality, hygiene, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present cafe menu items with consistent taste and quality

• Plan and develop menu items as per café theme and customer preference

• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness as per FSSAI standards

• Manage kitchen operations, inventory, and raw material usage

• Control food costs and minimize wastage

• Coordinate with management for menu updates and pricing

• Supervise kitchen helpers (if any) and maintain discipline

• Ensure timely food preparation during peak hours

Required Qualifications:

• Degree / Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (mandatory)

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in a café, restaurant, or cloud kitchen

• Good knowledge of cafe-style food (continental, fast food, snacks, etc.)

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

• Ability to work under pressure and manage kitchen workflow

Preferred Skills:

• Creativity in menu planning and presentation

• Time management and multitasking skills

• Basic knowledge of inventory and cost control

• Team player with a positive attitude
