Role Overview

• Maintaining a high standard and quality of food preparation

• Help control food costs by preventing the wastage and spoilage of food items

• Maintaining the bakery kitchen area in a clean and orderly condition at all times

• Maintain discipline in the kitchen

• Execute piping techniques for various dessert elements, including creams, mousses, icings, and sauces, ensuring consistency and aesthetic standards.

• Prepare piping bags with the correct tips and fillings as instructed.

• Assist in preparing garnishes and decorations for desserts.

• Assist chefs with the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring.

• Retrieve and organize ingredients from storage areas.

• Assist with basic cooking tasks as directed by the chefs.

• Properly store and label food items.

• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.

• Assist with plating and presentation of dishes when required.

• Follow recipes and instructions accurately.

Requirements & Skills

• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a bakery, cafe or as apprentice.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in chopping, garnishing, etc .

• Soft Skills: Ability to work morning or evening shifts, physical stamina for kitchen work, and a strong sense of discipline.

• Education: A certificate or diploma in Hotel management is preferred, though hands-on experience is most valued.

• It is a Full Time Cook / Chef job for candidates with 6 months - 2 years of experience.
