Please find attached the job description for the position of Assistant Manager – Cafeteria Operations.
Experience :- 7 Yrs +
versee day-to-day cafeteria operations, including food preparation, service quality, stock control, and overall workflow.
Supervise kitchen and service staff, ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and government regulations.
Maintain the cafeteria premises in a clean, sanitary, and well-organized condition at all times, ensuring safe food handling and serving practices.
Plan and manage daily and weekly menus, ensuring the food served is nutritious, appealing, cost-effective, and aligned with employee preferences.
Handle staffing requirements for the cafeteria, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance monitoring, and ensuring smooth team functioning.
Ensure all cafeteria equipment and appliances are regularly serviced, maintained, and meet necessary safety and operational standards.
Monitor food, material, and labor costs, preparing periodic reports to track budget utilization and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Develop, implement, and monitor cafeteria policies and SOPs, including safety protocols, food handling procedures, quality checks, and customer service standards.
Address employee feedback, complaints, and operational issues promptly and professionally, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Coordinate menu planning and special arrangements for client visits, conferences, internal events, and business meetings.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire-safety, and security regulations applicable to the cafeteria environment.
Conduct regular vendor evaluations and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality raw materials at competitive rates.
Maintain accurate documentation related to licenses, audits, hygiene checks, and statutory requirements.
Implement portion control, waste-reduction practices, and sustainability initiatives to minimize food wastage.
Introduce feedback mechanisms (survey, suggestion box, digital feedback) to continuously improve service quality.
Ensure seamless coordination between Administration, HR, Housekeeping, and Security teams for smooth cafeteria operations.
Plan festive menus or theme-based meals to enhance employee engagement and cafeteria experience.
Monitor energy usage of kitchen equipment and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
