Culinary Barista

Role Summary

We’re looking for a friendly, energetic Barista to be the face of our cafe. You’ll craft great coffee, create a welcoming vibe, and make sure every customer leaves with a smile + their perfect drink.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coffee & Beverage Prep

• Make espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, cold brew, tea, and seasonal specials

• Steam and texture milk, follow recipes for consistency

• Basic latte art and attention to presentation

2. Customer Service

• Greet customers, take orders, and handle POS + payments

• Recommend drinks/menu items and handle special requests

• Create a warm, fast, and friendly cafe experience

3. Cafe Operations

• Keep bar area, equipment, and seating clean and sanitized

• Restock beans, milk, syrups, cups, and disposables

• Operate and do basic cleaning/maintenance of espresso machines and grinders

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards

4. Team Support

• Work with team during rush hours

• Open/close shifts, handle cash drawer, and support inventory counts

• Prior barista or customer service experience preferred but not required – training provided

• Ability to work flexible hours: mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays

• Good communication skills and positive attitude

• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can multitask

• Basic math for cash handling

• Experience with espresso machines

• Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, latte art

• Food handler’s permit
