Bakery Chef

We are hiring Commis I, Commis II, and Commis III – Bakery for a leading bakery and food production company in Bangalore.

We are looking for candidates who have experience working in a bakery or pastry kitchen and are comfortable working in a production environment. The role involves preparing bakery products, maintaining quality and hygiene, and supporting the team with daily production work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, desserts, and other bakery items.

• Help with ingredient preparation, mixing, baking, decorating, and finishing.

• Follow recipes and maintain the required quality and taste.

• Handle bakery equipment properly and safely.

• Keep the work area clean and hygienic.

• Follow food safety and hygiene rules.

• Check ingredients and inform the team if anything needs to be restocked.

• Avoid unnecessary wastage of raw materials.

• Complete daily production work on time.

• Work with other team members and support the bakery operations.

Experience Required

• Commis III: 0–2 years of bakery experience

• Commis II: 2–4 years of bakery or pastry experience

• Commis I: 4–6 years of bakery experience, with the ability to handle work independently.

Candidates with experience in bakeries, cafés, hotels, QSRs, retail bakery chains, or similar food production environments are preferred.

Skills

• Basic to good knowledge of bakery production.

• Experience with breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and desserts.

• Knowledge of baking equipment.

• Good understanding of cleanliness and food hygiene.

• Ability to work in a busy kitchen or production environment.

• Good teamwork.

• Willingness to learn and take responsibility.

A Diploma or Degree in Bakery & Confectionery, Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with good practical bakery experience can also apply.

Salary

• Commis III: Up to ₹20,000 per month + 2 meals + overtime allowance + bonus

• Commis II: Up to ₹24,700 per month + 2 meals + overtime allowance + bonus

• Commis I: Up to ₹28,000 per month + 2 meals + overtime allowance + bonus

Salary may vary depending on experience, current CTC, skills, and interview performance.

• It is a Full Time Cook / Chef job for candidates with 0 - 6+ years Experience.
