Carpenter

Duties and Responsibilities:

Wood Finishing:

• Sand, stain, paint, and apply finishes to wooden furniture pieces.

• Ensure a smooth and polished surface, free of defects.

Assembly & Installation:

• Assemble furniture components and install hardware (hinges, handles, etc.) as needed.

• Ensure all parts fit properly and are securely attached.

Quality Control:

• Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet the required quality standards.

• Identify and correct any imperfections in the finishing or assembly process.

Maintenance:

· Maintain and clean tools and equipment used for finishing.

· Ensure safety standards are followed in the workshop.

Education:

Experience:

· Previous experience as a carpenter or finishing carpenter in furniture or woodworking

Skills:

· Proficient in finishing techniques (sanding, staining, painting, polishing).

· Knowledge of wood types and finishes.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Working Conditions:

· Full-time, on-site role.

· May require overtime or weekend work.
