Job Description

We are licensed by the Bureau of Indian Standards, we test the purity of gold jewels and we certify them as per BIS norms.

  • Jewelry Inward/Outward: Receives raw or manufactured gold jewelry lots from retail and wholesale jewellers for hallmarking.

  • Weight Verification: Records the gross intake weight of jewelry packages in front of the customer before routing items to the laser marking room.

  • Billing and Dispatch: Collects servicing fees, manages cash/digital point-of-sale transactions, and hands over successfully marked jewelry alongside official certification reports.

  • HUID Management: Uploads mandatory jewelry descriptions, exact weights, and lot details directly into the central BIS online portal.

  • HUID Generation: Facilitates the generation of the unique 6-digit Hallmark Unique Identification (HUID) code for every approved item.

  • Log Keeping: Maintains electronic logs of batch receipts, rejections, processing dates, and automated receipt entries.

  • Physical Engraving: Operates the software-driven CNC laser engraving machines to physically etch the miniature BIS logo, purity grade, and 6-digit alphanumeric HUID onto the jewelry surfaces.

  • Visual Assessment: Performs post-engraving visual verification to ensure the hallmark symbols are clearly legible without structurally damaging delicate ornaments.

  • General Support: Handles multi-department local documentation and maintains basic workplace cleanliness guidelines.
