We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Traffic Survey team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, validating, analyzing, and interpreting traffic data including vehicle counts, classifications, speeds, and pedestrian flow. This role is crucial for providing accurate insights to support transportation planning, road safety, and infrastructure projects.
Analyze large datasets from traffic counting equipment .
Clean and validate traffic data for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare daily, weekly, and project-based traffic reports.
Interpret traffic patterns, peak hours, congestion data, and pedestrian flow trends.
Coordinate with field teams to ensure accurate data collection methods.
Identify anomalies and suggest corrections or re-counts if necessary.
Maintain data documentation, logs, and report templates.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand data requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
1+ year experience in data analysis or traffic survey domain (freshers with strong skills can be considered).
Basic understanding of traffic data collection methodologies.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills – written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and under deadlines.
Familiarity with transportation or infrastructure planning projects.
Process data from manual or automatic traffic counts.
Analyze video footage using traffic counting software.
Classify vehicle types and calculate hourly/daily/weekly trends.
Create charts showing peak travel times and congestion levels.
Generate reports for municipal clients or transport consultants.
