Position Summary
The Mutual Fund Operations Executive is responsible for the seamless, accurate, and timely execution of post-trade processes, fund accounting support, and investor record maintenance. This role acts as a critical link between fund managers, custodians, and registrars to mitigate operational risk and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trade Processing & SettlementExecute daily processing of mutual fund subscriptions, redemptions, switches, and systematic transfers.Coordinate with custodian banks and clearing houses to ensure seamless settlement of cash and securities.Monitor and resolve any failed or delayed transactions before daily market cut-off times
2. Reconciliation & Valuation SupportPerform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, stock holdings, and unit balances against registrar data.Verify the accuracy of daily Net Asset Value (NAV) computations and ensure timely dissemination to market data providers.Investigate and resolve cash and position breaks with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Compliance, KYC & Risk ManagementReview onboarding documentation to ensure strict adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) guidelines.Maintain robust audit trails for all operational activities to ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.Identify operational vulnerabilities and implement process automation to minimize manual errors.Qualifications & SkillsEducation & ExperienceDegree: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field.
Experience: 1–3 years of core operations experience within an Asset Management Company (AMC), Wealth Management firm, or Custodian Service.Technical ProficienciesCore Systems: Familiarity with registrar platforms (e.g., CAMS, KFintech) and core investment accounting software.Data Analysis: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, Macros).CompetenciesPrecision: Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for data entry errors.Time Management: Proven ability to work under high pressure and deliver within tight regulatory windows.
