Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinating Dispatch Operations:

Managing the daily dispatch of goods or services, scheduling deliveries, and optimizing routes to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.

Communication:

Serving as a central point of contact for drivers, customers, and other relevant parties, communicating shipment details, delivery updates, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.

Documentation:

Preparing and managing shipping documents, such as invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Logistics Management:

Working with transportation providers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations.

Issue Resolution:

Identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the dispatch process, such as delays, damages, or incorrect orders.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of dispatch activities, including shipment details, delivery times, and any relevant documentation.

Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Knowledge of Logistics:

Understanding of transportation logistics, routing, and relevant regulations.

Computer Proficiency:

Familiarity with dispatch software, shipping systems, and other relevant computer applications.

Customer Service Skills:

Ability to provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
