The Senior Architect leads the design, planning, and execution of complex architectural projects from concept through completion. This role combines creative design expertise with technical proficiency, project management, and leadership skills. The Senior Architect collaborates closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective design solutions aligned with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Lead the architectural design process for major projects, ensuring design excellence, functionality, and alignment with client needs.
Manage all project phases, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Oversee and mentor junior architects, designers, and interns, fostering professional development and collaboration.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure project integration and quality.
Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and materials to ensure compliance with design intent and building codes.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to plans.
Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Stay current with industry trends, sustainability standards, and technological advancements in architecture and construction.
Ensure all design work complies with local zoning laws, building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Represent the firm in client presentations, community meetings, and public forums.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Professional architectural license (e.g., RA, RIBA, or equivalent) required.
Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years of professional architectural experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, residential, institutional, or mixed-use projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and LEED certification processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Certification in sustainable design (LEED AP, WELL AP, etc.)
Experience with BIM management and digital collaboration platforms.
Ability to balance creative vision with technical and financial constraints.
