Junior Architect

A junior architect supports senior architects in all project phases, from concept to completion, by drafting plans, creating detailed drawings, conducting site visits, researching building codes, and assisting in client meetings and project coordination. This entry-level role provides practical experience in using CAD software, preparing construction documents, and ensuring projects meet design, regulatory, and client requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development:

  Assist in developing architectural concepts and detailed designs using CAD software like AutoCAD or Revit. 

• Documentation:

  Prepare detailed blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. 

• Site Support:

  Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess site conditions, and ensure accurate execution of designs. 

• Code & Regulation Research:

  Research and apply local building codes and regulations to ensure project compliance. 

• Collaboration:

  Work with senior architects, engineers, consultants, and other project team members. 

• Client Engagement:

  Participate in client meetings and presentations to present project progress and design details. 

• Project Coordination:

  Support project management by assisting with documentation, coordination, and communication with contractors. 

Typical Qualifications 

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.ARCH).

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.

• A strong portfolio showcasing design work.

• An understanding of sustainable planning, architectural trends, and construction methods.
