We are seeking a detail-oriented, skilled, and creative AutoCAD Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming initial rough product designs, sketches, and concepts into precise 2D and 3D technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD software.
You will collaborate closely with our engineering, architecture, and project management teams to ensure all designs meet structural, safety, and industry standards. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, excellent spatial reasoning, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality blueprints on time.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Design: Create highly detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD based on rough sketches, specifications, and calculations from engineers/architects.
Collaboration: Work alongside project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements, incorporate feedback, and modify designs as needed.
Quality Control: Review blueprints and designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards, local building codes, and safety regulations.
Data Management: Maintain, organize, and archive drawing databases, blueprints, and project documentation for future reference.
Site Visits: (Optional/If applicable) Visit project sites to gather data, take measurements, and ensure real-world conditions match design specifications.
Troubleshooting: Identify potential design flaws, material constraints, or structural conflicts early in the design phase and propose practical solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Associate degree, technical diploma, or bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience: [X] years of professional experience working as an AutoCAD Designer or Drafter (ideally within the [insert industry, e.g., construction, manufacturing] industry).
