TEAM LEAD AUTOCAD

JOB DESCRIPTION _ Team Lead - Scan to 2D ( AutoCAD| BIM)

SPECIALIST TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Mastery of AutoCAD software is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD is necessary to oversee and guide the team's AutoCAD conversion efforts effectively.

2. Familiarity with industry-specific AutoCAD standards, layering conventions, line types, and drawing scales is important to ensure that the converted CAD files meet established industry norms.

3. Experience with Recap or other similar programs for integrating 3D laser scanning data into AutoCAD.

4. Proficiency in designing and developing accurate drawings for architectural and structural components.

 5. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations pertaining to residential and commercial projects.

SPECIAL SKILLS RELEVANT TO JOB (Like Software Expertise):

 1. AutoCAD is essential & Revit Archi knowledge is value added.

2. Understand drafting and modelling tolerance requirements.

3. Understand the checking/heat-map process

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

He/She should be technically astute with a minimum of 5-7+ years of professional experience in commercial or industrial sectors, working as a Team Leader, Manager, or similar within Brownfield and Greenfield projects. Additionally, he/she should have at least 5 years of experience working with scan data.

He/She should be a highly self-motivated individual who embraces a cooperative and partnering approach to thrive in our multidisciplinary team environment. He should demonstrate competence in both 2D and 3D systems, showcasing a profound understanding of models and drawings while applying industry best practices effectively.

He should possess strong problem-solving skills and technical abilities, along with impressive attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must for seamless collaboration and effective conveyance of ideas. Moreover, he should be a trusted and dedicated team player, valuing trust and fostering a spirit of teamwork

MAIN DUTIES WITHIN KEY AREAS:

1. Acquire and comprehend the project objectives from the client, specific documentation, and the kick-off meeting.

2. Establish base files for drafting / modelling based on supplied coordinate and elevation data.

3. Generate architectural drawings from design or construction documentation, or from point cloud scans of existing sites.

 4. Assist in estimating project costs and providing feedback on proposal documents.

5. Define specifications for minimum scanning requirements.

6. Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks for their own work and that of others.

7. Maintain up-to-date templates for consistent drafting practices.

8. Assist in updating process/workflow documents as required to optimize efficiency.

9. Create internal and company-specific libraries to improve drafting standards and resources.

10. Lead a team of multi-disciplinary modelers to drive collaboration and achieve project objectives.

11. Offer expert technical advice based on industry standards and best practices.

12. Contribute to the future expansion and growth of the team.

13. Execute general team management tasks unrelated to project-specific work.

14. Participate in engineering projects to develop project design deliverables as needed.

15. Perform technical drafting and modeling within allocated time, budget, and quality constraints.

16. Produce 2D Drawings, schedules, and other required deliverables with precision.

17. Ensure all design deliverables are prepared, checked, and approved in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance system.

18. Collaborate with others as necessary to support project delivery.

Education Background Required

Educational Background: Diploma or BE Civil
