AutoCAD Designer(Furniture Designer)

looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer specializing in Furniture Shop Floor Drawings.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, detailed furniture production drawings, and manufacturing-ready shop floor drawings to support smooth execution of furniture manufacturing projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in furniture production drawings, material specifications, fabrication details, and coordination with the production team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD furniture shop floor drawings for manufacturing and production.

2. Develop furniture fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, sectional views, and detailed working drawings.

3. Prepare accurate dimensions, material specifications, cutting details, and hardware placement drawings.

4. Convert approved furniture designs and concepts into production-ready technical drawings.

5. Prepare drawings for modular furniture, office furniture, cabinets, workstations, counters, storage units, and customized furniture.

6. Coordinate with the Furniture Production Head, supervisors, and shop floor teams to ensure drawings are executed correctly.

7. Ensure drawings comply with approved designs, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements.

8. Revise drawings based on production feedback, site measurements, and management instructions.

9. Prepare and maintain drawing revisions, technical documentation, and drawing records.

10. Identify and resolve drawing-related technical issues to minimize production errors, material wastage, and rework.

Required Skills & Technical Knowledge

-•AutoCAD 2D – Advanced proficiency (Mandatory).

• Strong experience in Furniture Shop Floor / Production Drawings (Mandatory).

• Good understanding of furniture manufacturing processes and fabrication techniques.

• Knowledge of plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, hardware fittings, and other furniture materials.

• Ability to prepare detailed sectional, elevation, assembly, and manufacturing drawings.

• Understanding of furniture dimensions, cutting layouts, and installation details.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of SketchUp or 3D design software will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related technical field.

• It is a Full Time Architect / Interior Designer job for candidates with 3 - 5 years of experience.
