Senior Associate - Business Planning and Financial Analysis

Sr. Associate I, Business Planning & Analysis Job Purpose (State in one sentence the overall objective of the job) Preparation of the company’s budgeting and forecasting process, the analysis and review of consolidated financial data and for driving a strong discipline on financial management and investment decisions within the business. Providing insight on business analysis (tracking performance and budget deviations, forecasts and budgets) incl business results to management in order to drive informed decision-making. Engage with key stakeholders across various geographies (E.g. APAC, Europe, GEM, China, Japan and LATAM). Major Accountabilities (Describe the main results of the job to be achieved) Manage Planning process with high degree of accuracy: Long Range Planning, Budget, and Forecasting. Proactively advice on early warnings/opportunities to supported finance and business teams. Ensure accountability to established objectives through tracking of actual results and highlight root cause events of variances. Drive existing management reporting. Analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to supported finance and business teams to allow adoption of corrective actions, as necessary Directly contribute to the achievement of Alcon financial objectives (Sales, Profit and Cash Flow) through financial analysis to support operational decision making for the business in scope Participate in ad-hoc projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned. Disciplined use of financial systems (ASPIRE, APMR, SAP, etc.) to manage and perform analytical analysis of financial results Develop / deploy / maintain innovative decision support tools and technologies that enhance the depth, breadth, speed and efficiency of the decision support capabilities. Liaise with country FRA team for analysis of key balance sheet accounts and provide insights on open items Visiting the market on agreed frequency with country finance and understand the market dynamics for effective financial support Deliver the projects assigned as per the project charter with positive customer feedback Compliance to Alcon accounting manual and financial control manual to the extend applicable to all the accounting and reporting activities involved Key Performance Indicators (Indicate how performance will be measured: indicators, activities…) Submit quality and timely Monthly / Quarterly Business Results. Submit quality and timely Budget, Latest Forecast etc. Forecasting accuracy within agreed parameters at International Job Dimensions (Indicate key facts and figures) Financial responsibility (where appropriate): Stakeholders TFC $$$ Mio approx. 2 countries Region BPA ; Country HoFs, Country Commercial team leaders.
