As a Payment Lifecycle Manager II within Payments Operations, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our payment operations framework by streamlining processes, implementing new technologies, and developing operational functions. You will manage payment processing across various products, ensuring smooth fund transfers between financial institutions, cardholders, merchants, corporate and retail clients, while also handling the reconciliation of purchase and sales options, futures, or securities. Leveraging your proficiency in automation, cybersecurity, and anti-fraud awareness, you will ensure the security and efficiency of our payment lifecycle, and your strategic planning skills will guide our direction and resource allocation decisions. Your proficiency in AI/ML will be utilized to solve complex problems and enhance processes, applying your knowledge in market product and process improvement to optimize operations. Additionally, your role will involve sanctions screening, payment investigations, funds control, exception processing, resolving reconciliation breaks, and managing invoicing or cash management activities. Job responsibilities Execution of daily business as usual (BAU) tasks/activities in the most efficient and highly control framework oriented environment Exhibit knowledge on Signature Validation for Trade/ Payment instructions received from Clients. Clarity about beneficiary account details to verify during Callback for Outgoing payments from JPM Publishing / Review of Daily/weekly performance metrics pertaining to the function and to identify and track reasons for deviation from agreed levels or expected behaviour Ensure follow up and escalate for all ageing items. Ensure timely review and certification of Authentication function Procedures, Operating Service Agreements and Business Resiliency plans Review and improve on productivity benchmarks on an ongoing basis Active participation in multiple forums such as Product, Client Service, Strategy to analyse the impact basis market changes and to drive Tech Initiatives to meet client expectation and internal functional goals Create strong resiliency & backups within the team by active involvement in day to day activities and training initiatives Work in partnership with Operations Control Management / Risk teams for performing QA testing’s, MIS and Internal and External Audits. Play a key role in Audit reviews and checks and attend various internal calls with Product, Network, Client Facing team, etc. and represent Authentication , add value in ensuring end goal to enhance customer satisfaction at all times – of course ensuring right controls and checks in place to avoid Audit & Compliance issues. Complete performance appraisal for direct reports and team involving setting the Goals / Objectives for Team Members, Operations Analyst and Team leader population To continually reassess the operational risks inherent to Authentication taking account of changing business key deliverables, product implementations, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, staff management restructurings, and the impact of new technology Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Excellent prior custody & fund services, markets or prime brokerage operational experience along with managing staff Strong analytical and problem solving skills including taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls Thorough understanding of program/project risk Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate strategic messages clearly and consistently with the team, making linkages to individual goals and accomplishments Strong financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction lifecycle in Custody,Subject matter expertise in Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Collateral, Derivatives Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent Proficiency in MS excel and an ability to clearly storyboard using PowerPoint is essential Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Knowledge of ISO or Swift message processing or management. Knowledge of banking functions in one or more of the following areas: Payments, Liquidity, Sanctions, Cash Account Management, Fraud, Risk and Controls.
