Manager Roles & responsibilities • Collaborate with the Engagement Finance Champions team to support financial operations and achieve objectives across a range of business areas. • Address and resolve process and administrative queries falling outside the scope of other Finance support teams, utilising the workflow management system to track and manage these queries to completion. • Regularly review Work In Progress (WIP) and accrued revenue reports to identify risk areas and potential billing opportunities, ensuring proactive financial management and the implementation of performance improvements when necessary. • Engage with key stakeholders, including Engagement Partners and Managers, to ensure comprehension of the lock-up cycle and the achievement of lock-up targets through effective billing actions. • Ensure adherence to established finance processes and policies, escalating any deviations to maintain compliance and financial integrity within the organisation. • Act as an advocate for finance-driven change programmes by promoting the adoption of automation tools, implementing self-service solutions, and achieving process standardisation for enhanced operational efficiency. • Maintain and continually update the team's knowledge bases and process documentation to ensure information is readily accessible and accurate, supporting team learning and development. • Take ownership of personal performance, identifying areas for improvement and development while also assisting in the training and coaching of new team members to foster a high-performing team environment. • Perform quality checks on the team's handling of queries to contribute to Right First Time statistics and monitor incoming queries to ensure timely and effective resolution. Process Improvement: • Automation and Efficiency: Lead efforts to automate reporting processes and incorporate generative AI tools to enhance efficiency, standardization, and innovation in financial analysis. • Skill Development in Analytics Platforms: Enhance proficiency in emerging data analytics platforms, adapting reports to improve efficiency and insight generation.
