Job Description

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.

• Prepare financial models, scenario analyses, and variance reports to support decision-making.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, margins, operating expenses, cash flow, and working capital.

Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.

• Maintain general ledger integrity, including accruals, deferrals, reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, or local GAAP).

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Manage daily cash positions, bank relationships, and liquidity planning.

• Optimize accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) cycles to improve working capital.

• Evaluate financing options and support fund procurement strategies.

Compliance, Audit & Risk

• Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure timely closure of audit findings.

• Implement and monitor internal financial controls to prevent errors and fraud.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and industry-specific financial laws.

Strategic Support & Business Partnering

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to department heads and senior leadership.

• Evaluate investment opportunities, business cases, and capital expenditure proposals (ROI, NPV, payback).

• Support board reporting, investor updates, and strategic planning initiatives.

Team Leadership (for Manager-level roles)

• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function.

• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).

• Master’s degree (MBA, MCom) or professional certifications (CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA) preferred.

Experience

• Finance Executive: 2–4 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related roles.

• Finance Manager: 5–8+ years of progressive finance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.

• Industry-specific experience (e.g., manufacturing, tech, services) is a plus.
