Credit Manager-Loan Against Property-Credit The Credit Manager will play a pivotal role in the Loan Against Property (LAP) division, responsible for credit management and risk mitigation. They will lead a team, ensuring efficient credit processes, and contribute to the bank's overall credit strategy and business objectives. Oversee and manage the credit operations for the Loan Against Property (LAP) division, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations. Lead a team of credit analysts and officers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective credit processes. Conduct thorough credit assessments and evaluations of loan applications, considering financial statements, collateral, and other relevant factors. Approve or reject loan applications based on creditworthiness, risk assessment, and the bank's lending criteria. Monitor and manage the credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and taking proactive measures to mitigate them. Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and legal, to ensure a seamless loan approval process. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to adapt credit strategies accordingly. Develop and implement credit policies and procedures, ensuring they align with the bank's risk appetite and business goals. Provide regular reports and analysis on credit performance, portfolio quality, and risk exposure to senior management. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including borrowers, brokers, and other external partners. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree in Finance or a relevant specialization. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in credit management, with a strong background in loan against property (LAP) or similar asset-based lending. Proven track record of successful credit management, including risk assessment, portfolio management, and credit policy development. Excellent knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements, particularly in the area of credit and lending. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess credit risk. Proficiency in using credit analysis tools and software, as well as experience with credit scoring models. Effective leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of credit professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders. Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset, with the ability to contribute to the bank's overall business objectives.
