Billing Executive – Job Description
1. Invoice Preparation
Generate and issue accurate invoices to clients or customers.
Verify billing data such as purchase orders, contracts, or service records.
Ensure invoices comply with company policies and tax regulations (e.g., GST in India).
2. Billing Management
Maintain and update billing systems and records.
Process adjustments, credit notes, or billing corrections.
Ensure billing cycles are completed on time (daily, weekly, or monthly).
3. Payment Follow-ups
Monitor accounts receivable and outstanding payments.
Follow up with clients for overdue invoices.
Coordinate with the accounts team for payment reconciliation.
4. Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain organized billing documents, receipts, and transaction records.
Prepare billing reports for management and audit purposes.
5. Coordination
Work with sales, operations, and finance teams to verify billing details.
Resolve client queries related to invoices or payment discrepancies.
6. Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies, taxation laws, and financial regulations.
