Cost Accountant

1. Project Estimation

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for doors, windows, glazing, and related systems based on drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

• Analyze architectural drawings, tender documents, and project requirements to determine material and labor quantities.

• Calculate material take-offs including frames, glass, hardware, sealants, and accessories.

2. Tender & Quotation Preparation

• Prepare detailed quotations and tender submissions within deadlines.

• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain material pricing and technical details.

• Compare quotations from vendors to ensure cost competitiveness and budget alignment.

3. Technical Evaluation

• Review technical specifications, shop drawings, and project requirements for door and window systems.

• Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, building codes, and quality standards.

• Provide technical clarifications to sales, project managers, and clients.

4. Cost Analysis & Optimization

• Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or specifications.

• Maintain updated pricing databases for materials, labor, and installation costs.

• Conduct value engineering where required.

5. Coordination

• Work closely with sales teams, project managers, engineers, and procurement teams.

• Coordinate with design and drafting teams for accurate quantity take-offs.

• Communicate with clients, architects, and consultants for clarifications.
