JD OF ACCOUNTANT
Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and preparing financial reports. The role involves maintaining books of accounts, handling taxation, reconciliation, and assisting in audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain day-to-day accounting records in Tally / ERP software.
Prepare and post journal entries, ledgers, and trial balance.
Handle accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare GST returns, TDS filings, and other statutory compliance reports.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Coordinate with auditors for annual audits.
Maintain accurate inventory and stock valuation records (if applicable).
Assist management in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.
Ensure timely payment of vendors and follow up on receivables.
Keep updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com).
2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation.
Attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
