Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Account Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will handle key accounting functions such as reconciliation, bookkeeping, expense management, and advanced Excel reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage financial records accurately, with a preference for candidates having experience in the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly to ensure financial records are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date bookkeeping records, including recording of sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
Manage expense tracking and vendor payments, ensuring proper approvals, accurate recording, and timely settlement of bills and reimbursements.
Prepare and maintain financial reports and MIS dashboards using advanced Excel functionalities such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, macros, and data analysis tools.
Handle advance payments and receivables management, including proper recording, tracking, and follow-up.
Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring all entries are accurate and supporting documentation is in place.
Support preparation of budgets, forecasts, and perform variance analysis as required.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate smooth financial processes.
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and statutory requirements.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3 to 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail industry accounting.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in bank reconciliation, bookkeeping, and expense management.
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Macros, complex formulas).
Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books – specify if needed).
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
Exposure to GST compliance and filing processes.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced retail accounting environment.
