Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight: Manage and supervise all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to senior management.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against these benchmarks.

• Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with all tax regulations.

• Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and external auditors, facilitating audits and implementing recommendations.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, assigning tasks and evaluating performance.

• Policy Development: Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient financial operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is often preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic insights.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for effective collaboration and reporting.
